Bio

Desi is a proud mama to a spirited 8-year-old, a karaoke enthusiast,  and member of SAG-AFTRA. She began her career as an ensemble dancer on a Saturday morning TV show called, “CityKids” featured alongside Jim Henson’s Muppets on ABC. In 2022, she became the Artistic Director of CityKids Rep, empowering teens to express themselves through ARTivism. Desi just ended a run leading an Off-Broadway play at the Sheen Center in the play, 'Dust of Egypt,' where she played the incredible abolitionist, Sojourner Truth.

You might have spotted her on “New Amsterdam,” “Harlem,” “The Blacklist" or “Broad City” as a mechanic, nurse,  court reporter or witchy peddler, respectively. If not, catch her on Law and Order: SVU. Her most recent TV success was finding the Roku Remote (it was under the couch).
